SOS-Objectives

The main objectives can be summarized as:

 

1)       Increase 1500 mangrove trees in Sungai Acheh, Penang shore line through 3 mangrove trees planting projects saplings reducing soil erosion, promote reproductive biodiversity and increase the food sources.

 

2)       A statistical data about the mangrove trees planting will be collect through the projects as a reference for the mangrove planting projects in the future.

 

3)       Increase the sense of responsibility and awareness for the importance of maintaining mangrove forests to the community through the educational activities in each project.

 

4)       Answering to the urge of Hon. Prime Minister to youth, especially Rover Scout to activily participate in volunteering programmes on nationwide.

 

5)       To exposure to the Rover Scout on the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) urged by the United Nations and to offer an alternative to the Malaysian youth to jointly participate in developing the nation.
